Cars are an amazingly wonderful invention that people don’t really think about too much. Think about what it was like a hundred years ago. If you lived in the city, you would likely have to walk everywhere. People also rode horses, and buggies and other horse drawn vehicles, but the streets were filled with horse manure. That meant it didn’t smell very good. To be sure, life is much better with cars.

Time is of the essence, but money is even more vital. Time is a factor that we all cannot control, but money can be spent and saved by a person’s own will. In this ever changing, fast paced world, time and money are both something everyone needs and everyone wants. Since time will constantly tick away, it is up to us to make do with a controllable factor like money. Take for instance a regular office employee at lunchtime. With only an hour to spare, he must be able to eat a complete meal that is easily prepared and light on the pocket. Fast foods are the quickest solution for this trivial matter.

Most people recognize the simple fact that there is only a certain amount of oil reserves in the planet. And anything that is in limited supply is certain to run out sooner or later. Because all societies are so dependent on oil, if oil ran out before a sufficient alternative was created, there would be bedlam and chaos. The good news is that there are plenty of alternative energy sources being investigated. The bad news is that many of them are years away from fully replacing oil completely.
