Perhaps everlasting is not quite the right statement when explaining the enjoyment that chocolate gifts give to the recipient. After all, they are designed to be eaten and in most case will not survive for a great deal of time.

If you enjoy a few chocolates every now and then, but also believe that something that tastes so good can not be good for you, there is some good news. Many myths about chocolate are just that, myths. Though certainly not a health food, it is also not the cause of many health issues that chocolate has previously been blamed for.
The rumours are partly true but most of this has been down to a trail through history of chocolate increasing your sex drive. A relationship which dates back to the ancient Mayans who believed it made you more fertile. King Montezuma was reported to have 50 cups of chocolate a day to satisfy a rather large Harem. It is still a bit murky as to what ingredient actually created this feeling, though a stimulant called Theobromine was accredited with it there were a number of other spices in the drink.
