What two countries produce the most coffee in the world? The answer is: Brazil and Vietnam. You may be surprised about one of these countries, but we all know that Brazil is a major coffee powerhouse! Vietnam – that’s the surprise. With these countries being the largest exporters of coffee how much would that be, you may be asking! – 2 million metric tons. Now that is a lot of coffee beans. That also translates to millions of individual cups of coffee and coffee related drinks.

Most people recognize the simple fact that there is only a certain amount of oil reserves in the planet. And anything that is in limited supply is certain to run out sooner or later. Because all societies are so dependent on oil, if oil ran out before a sufficient alternative was created, there would be bedlam and chaos. The good news is that there are plenty of alternative energy sources being investigated. The bad news is that many of them are years away from fully replacing oil completely.

Without wide scale farming, humans would never have grown as prosperous as we have become. Our economies depend on it, our livelihood depends on it, and our future may depend on it.
