The notion of “organic food” has been around for centuries. Recently however, it is being more popular and has turned into quite a hype drawing a lot of people into it. Due to the fact organic food is commonly more costly than the non-organic alternative, those who are in the business of selling organic foods are making huge profits. Just like any new craze, the question must be asked; Is all the positive reviews of organic food the true or is this yet another way to try and get more money from the general purchaser? Is the expense for organic food warranted?

At one point or another everyone who has an enjoyment for gardening has most likely grown a hybrid seed. When a seed produces good results, such as good flavor or high production, a gardener may want to save seeds to grow another batch in the next season. Seeds from hybrid plans, unfortunately tend to be a disappointment, as the plant from the second generation seed generally do not produce edible vegetables. The seeds are often sterile anyway so it is rare that a second generation hybrid seed will even germinate and grow in the first place.
